Mark Watson, in November
@watsoncomedian.bsky.social
I write books and do standup comedy and help run a production company. I was on Taskmaster. I am usually at Paddington station.
Yes, good to feel impotent at SOME point in the process.

Well, you're right about all this. Taking potshots at different areas of the BBC is a textbook case of cutting off your nose to spite your face. I worry people aren't going to understand what it contributes until it's been killed.

Very good. Is it Stella?

You help yourself mate. I’ve said my piece.

Yes and deny all knowledge of books if anyone accuses you.

I agree with this. Living in the moment is obviously a valuable idea but it has its limits too. You can’t be an entirely context-free being, hurtling from this to this to this without reflecting on what you actually enjoyed/anticipate with pleasure and why.

It was a rare occurrence of me not having headphones with me. I won’t make that mistake again for a while.

Hmm.
November 9, 2025 at 11:58 PM
Sorry not to see you! Thank you as always!

I’m a liberal, Holly.

Great jumper.

I’d pronounce it like Goran Ivanisevic.

When our teams met early this season, it didn't need VAR in place to keep the score at 0-0.
November 9, 2025 at 1:11 PM
Yeah I think he said something like 'not to worry, we're all human and make mistakes'.
November 9, 2025 at 12:39 PM
The definition of 'getting away with one'. VAR would've ruined it.
November 9, 2025 at 12:35 PM
One of the maddest things I've ever seen live is we conceded a 'ghost goal' where the ball went in and pinged out again, and the ref didn't give it. Almost everyone in the ground knew it was a goal. It was against Warnock as well, and we won that game 1-0.
November 9, 2025 at 12:35 PM
It’s true. My team are in the Championship and there’s truly nothing like celebrating a goal (after maybe a one-second glance to the linesman). When you go from that to a stadium with VAR you really notice the difference.

It blows my mind. Doing a hit piece on someone almost five years after YOUR death.
November 9, 2025 at 11:34 AM
Well done mate. There are worrying reports already of some having been done two, even three times.
November 9, 2025 at 1:00 AM
Very nice.
