The transitions could still use some work, but I got the basic "at home" idle routine working! The NPCs now pick a random available seat within a range, sit there for a bit, then get up and pick another. I can add other animations and build more complex idle behaviors on top of this.

Ok I think I'm getting somewhere. This is how y'all sit down, right?

Saw this cool world aligned halftone shader in Cyberpunk 2077 and tried to recreate it in Unreal Engine. Don't think this is how they did it, but close enough!

Made a little showcase of the NPC variety I can generate with just 3 body types, 3 faces, and 4 hairstyles per gender. I will be adding more of course, so this is just the start!

This is what the new modular NPCs look like in the game right now. Although I am still tweaking their materials and colors, as well as working on adding more hairstyles, clothes, and accessories, so this is still not the final look.

Always fun to find a double firework station on a rooftop and just sitting back for a bit to enjoy the show.

Changed the sound from piano to synth. Might add a few more variants and make them random. Although I think I should stop messing around and get back to working on the NPCs. But this is just too damn fun!

This is more fun than I expected! Although it's really hard to play, feels like playing the piano in a dream.

Been procrastinating today by making procedural keyboards for Vuntra City. And yes the keys can be pressed and they will be fully functional once I hook up the sounds.

Playing around with the NPC movement speeds, and apparently if I increase them enough I get this hilariously panicked city. But at least they get to their destinations more reliably 😆

The best part about procedural environments is how they never cease to surprise even their creator. Like this colorful space I've discovered that looks really weird but strangely alluring.

Made this timelapse of Vuntra City coming alive with the NPCs, cars, and sky trams zooming around.

Found this unusual multilevel space in the Environment Demo.
