Well done !

Nice animations btw, very lively. I'm more the type of guy that implement animation support in engines and not the one that make them, but from what I heard from my artist friends, this is very hard, and your work is impressive !

I think there is a very plausible chance that a furry will cure cancer one day.

I'm almost willing to bet this AI company will be gone by the end of year.

The most important problem is, the vast majority of dev in unreal have huge, complexe, heavy graphical tools and they don't know how it works or how to use them. It's the "check a box for magick gaphics" dilemma, it seems simple, but you need actual experience and knowledge to know what the box do.

Problem is game design isn't a thing you can trow infinite money at. With 10 millions what are you going to do ? Hire 200 game designers ? I would love to see how the brainstroming meeting goes with 200 designers. I think you just need a creative bunch of people with enough time to cook, that's it.

This can be actually true if you want to balance a full time job/studies with actually trying to learn Vulkan.

The game looks really nice, well done !

I feel like the more you ask thing outside of the very well known leetcode style problems, the more it fumbles. I feel like a lot of its output are verbatum copies of the most easely findable solution for a given programing problem.

Yeah it gives free and fast realistic shading techniques but you also need the assets, art direction and a team who truly understand the technical aspect of those features. That's why, in my opinion, some ue5 games looks both really amateurish and polished at the same time.
That's a weird felling.

It would be a dream of mine.... if only us indie game got the money.

It's an hard choice. In my own experience, I feel a lot better since I quit it all together. I know it will be harder without it, but it's a risk I'm willing to take. I feel like a lot of the eyes you would get there are going to be right wingers, I don't want to engage with them so i'll stay here.

Mip maps are always better with power of 2 texture I think.

Splendid

I love the style ! Is it possible to learn more about your process ?

You always have to start somewhere.

I really like the aestethics of that. I think you got something, keep cooking !
March 11, 2025 at 7:15 AM
That seems quite nice ! If you have a master material, I can only recommend to try out mega textures if you haven't yet. It's a process on wich you have a single very large texture shared by a lot of meshes. It makes the game faster to load and reduce driver overhead, resulring in faster draws.

Good luck with that, seems like a nightmare to do. I think you could go with a 3d blockout to help with the reproduction in different angles.
