This map was adopted nearly 50 years ago. I don't know what sort of boundaries might have existed prior to that.

Once @eastbankmpls.bsky.social's new board is in place, (voting going on now) they should begin the process to get the city to retire the Marcy-Holmes name to better reflect how people understand that piece of local geography.

@vincempls.bsky.social told me that there are railroad tracks on top of Lock & Dam #6 in Trempealeau, constituting the shortest railroad in the Midwest. So of course I dropped everything to grab these pictures of the thing. (I was there anyhow...)
