Everyone has a youth team, the point is to get the youth (our own) into the team. That’s the United heritage that I’m afraid is being lost under Amorim / INEOS at the moment.

Buying young players and having your own academy graduates be a core part of the first team / club’s identity (Busby Babes, Co92) aren’t the same thing.

The way he handled Mainoo has been poor all season - homegrown youth is part of our identity, not just a trend or hashtag. But against West Ham it’s not even about Kobbie, it’s about resorting to a Ugarte Casemiro pivot to see out a 1-0 at home against relegation candidates.
