If your reactions are severe and don't get better, it's fair to give up. But VR without artificial locomotion (like Beat Saber or Superhot) or MR should still be safe. 3/3

If you get sick the first time, stop and don't push yourself. But depending on how fast you recover afterwards, you can challenge yourself again and try to go for longer each time. 2/3

Actually, since many people can build a resistance to motion sickness, either caused by reading while riding a car or artificial locomotion in games, starting with a large 2D screen can help ease you into getting VR legs. 1/3

You can't show that something doesn't happen in a study, only the reverse. The burden of proof lies in showing that it does cause motion sickness.

Artificial locomotion is known to cause motion sickness and you can have that in AVP. It's generally avoided and warned of, if an app does it.

On a large screen, I assume? That makes sense, you would get the same effect from a beamer or if you were to play a game in the cinema. Some even get this from regular small screens.

The cause of sickness is artificial locomotion. In this case it's not even in or due to VR, it's from a screen.

A small percentage is very sensitive to flaws in the simulation, flaws that would cause a majority to get sick back in the 80ies because the tech wasn't there yet, and will get sick regardless. But that is a much smaller group than what these stats suggest. 2/2

Weird. I'm out of guesses then.

Did you link your Nintendo account on your 3DS? It allowed to have shared funds on 3DS, Wii U and Switch I think.

If you never linked your account, you probably can't anymore but I'm not sure.

This app is neat, it has activity tracking, including our old Wii U and 3DS data.

People think morals bind them but they're also a path to freedom. If you govern yourself, your morals set you free (from outside governance).
When you let your enemy govern your morals though, they become your master.

Good for the good, bad for the bad -> you're governed by outside forces.

I wouldn't recommend VR modded games if you're a beginner, because of motion sickness. But Land's End is very comfortable:

I really liked Alba, got it for Switch as well to let my mom play it. But she wasn't into it, she only likes quiz games.

I wouldn't even have known about the game without the mod, but it looked great and was by the same dev as Monument Valley, which I also enjoyed.

Ustwo actually made a game for mobile VR as well, Land's End, which was an early highlight in the medium in 2015.

It has a nice VR mod, which I used to play it.

It's a very different game than Chrono Trigger but very much worth it if Kingdom Zeal and Magus were highlights for you in Trigger. Also if you were frustrated by a certain loose end.

Cross turns that frustration into a different set of complicated emotions.

Was disappointed that Snow White wasn't 3D. All their other live action remakes were 3D so far, weren't they?

I hope Disney+ adds 3D streaming for Meta Quest.

Other way round for me. I also used to get car sick but kept reading anyway as a kid. I think that prepared me for VR, decades (!) later.
I still got nausea from artificial locomotion in VR at first but hardly anymore. And it doesn't build up anymore.
