Next Saturday, I’ll change my Dexcom sensor in public during my visit to EPCOT. I’ve always changed my sensor at home for privacy and predictability, but living with pre-diabetes doesn’t always align with comfort. Should I choose a restroom or a bench? Am I overthinking this?

I’m a huge fan of Star Trek: Strange New Worlds, but this week’s episode, “Four and a Half Vulcans,” missed the mark. Vulcan logic isn’t derived from their genetic makeup; it’s cultivated through meditation and the suppression of emotions.

I just experienced an unusual low blood glucose reading. The G7 device alerted me seconds before I felt the symptoms. My blood glucose dropped to 63 mg/dl, but I quickly recovered. Unfortunately, I can’t determine the cause since I was doing *nothing* at the time.

World of Warcraft holds a special place. I first encountered it in 2006 during a challenging period when I lost my job. WoW provided me with a sense of purpose and a way to carry me through until I regained my footing. I continue to play, thankful for its impact on me in my darkest times.

I’m eager to begin decorating for Halloween. I’m trying to resist the urge to start now and wait until I attend the Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party on September 21st. However, I’m not sure how long I can hold out.

Star Trek: Discovery faced more than its share of criticism from fans. It wasn’t flawless, at its core it remained true to the spirit of Star Trek. By including representation of disabilities and LGBTQ+ identities, Discovery earns its place as a meaningful and valuable addition to the canon.

My friend Christian made reservations for The Beak and Barrel during our visit to Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party on September 21. Since it was a brand-new restaurant, I was uncertain if we would be able to secure a table. Fortunately, we were able to!

Another view of the drink I savored at GEO-82, called the “Brown Butter Old-Fashioned.” It was a delightful combination of Woodford Reserve Double Oaked Bourbon, Brown Butter, Maple, and Hella Cocktail Co. Mexican Chocolate Bitters.

Experienced my first glass of top-shelf bourbon at the new GEO-82 bar at EPCOT. Smooth, complex, and worth the wait. Sipping it while enjoying the space-age atmosphere was rewarding. This vacation has been one of the best in years—great drinks, energy, and memories.

After years of delays and setbacks, I finally made it to Savi's Workshop and it was absolutely worth the wait. Building my lightsaber was an unforgettable experience.

From the Star Trek: Deep Space Nine episode “Shakaar,” as always, Star Trek remains relevant to today’s political climate.

“Datalore,” streaming on PlutoTV, is a standout episode of the first season, though flawed. It follows the “evil twin” trope common in dramas then. Interestingly, Data defeated Lore 35 years later in Star Trek: Picard.

I just picked up Sunrise on the Reaping, the new Hunger Games prequel, and I can’t wait to dive into it.
