i wish everyone was stealing interesting but grounded costume design rhetoric from elden ring besides just the mechanics

costume design in western fantasy rpgs right now is so fucking ugly that i have to be convinced that the writing is twice as good as a normal western fantasy rpg to even make me consider it

i'm not even a huge tragedy guy, but one reason i don't connect to modern hero fantasy is that it's detached from real world martial political tensions even though it Invokes them, and da2 in comparison is not about Might Makes Right, but it's not nihilistic either, it has points abt suffering

and i think sometimes i spread myself a little thin by spending time with people instead of working on personal projects alone, but... i like spending time with people 😭

not to sound like a reddit atheist, but i don't know why witch stuff is so popular among otherwise progressive spheres. where are people even learning that. it's fine to want personal routine and methods of self-interpretation, but to actually believe in new age mysticism is bonkers
