Sometimes I ADHD so hard it loops all the way around to preparation. Left an earbud in stopping by the house to change, forgot to transfer case to new pants, realized case wasn't in my pocket when it was time to put it away ... see case right next to me b/c I forgot to put it in my pocket earlier.

FFXIV friends, I need advice. My daughter wants to spend the weekend getting into the game w/ me; I'm in the 2.x MSQ and last played 2 years ago.
- Is there any reason a free trial account wouldn't be enough for her rn?
- Should I just pick a new job and level with her, or something else?

The best shot we got today. Not bad for a cheap telescope with an old phone camera! Proud of my son; he did a lot of practice work to make sure he could get it.

Good morning. Time for the nichest of niche content, from over on the Elephant.
Hot take resolution: they did alright by this, in the end. Kinda feel the 19-year-old game can be held to a slightly higher standard regarding change communication, but it was not, in fact, the end of the world.
We're fully in the Hot Take Zone here, I know, but I cannot really express just how disheartening it is every time Blizz removes addon functionality without even acknowledging it, much less adjusting their encounter design/UX to address any shortcomings said addon fixed.

I can't imagine anyone needs to actually hear this, but if you have even slightest interest in anime and have ever played an MMO ever, you're doing yourself a deep disservice if you aren't watching Shangri-La Frontier.

- Great story or not, it's really hard to see myself subbed to WoW in perpetuity. If that's the buy-in for this ride, when do I get out of my car?
- Delves are described entirely too vaguely to be excited about, but it's not an enduring play mode if it's tied to the xpac theme.

I don't know how I failed to notice this when I first watched it - literally while I was studying Arabic - but the "Waltz for Venus" episode of Cowboy Bebop is positively *packed* with Islamic cultural influence, doing a fantastic job of subtle, rich worldbuilding. It's beautiful.
