So Pekoe was on a steroid to see if it would stop her over-grooming her tummy, and it worked great. The fur is growing back.

It’s remarkable to me that I ever thought I was neurotypical. I packed a black cycling jersey instead of a towel into my swim bag last night. I pain stim (I often fidget with things that press into my flesh, or curl my toes and rest my weight on them while I sit).

The fuck is this.

Our two largest parties are 1) actively cheering illegal kidnapping of a president and 2) acting like a kicked dog in the face of US aggression.

It’s pathetic cowardice, not leadership.

And this cowardice puts our country at risk.

We need actual options in the next election.

"We stand with Denmark, we stand with Greenland, our closest partnership is with the United States, and we'll work with everybody to make sure we move forward together"

Man, say what you want about the many downsides of the Apple Music Mac app, but I cannot find a music player with better smart playlist support. One of my playlists is:

- 5 star songs
- not played in the last 5 days
- limited to 25 tracks
- selected by least recently played
- updates live

I have once again gotten a call from a clinic in Montreal to talk to me about a family doctor. Not only did I leave Quebec 3.5 years ago, I’ve cancelled my health coverage AND told a DIFFERENT clinic that I should be removed from the list. Quebec bureaucracy is the worst.

I accidentally ended up with a weird little coding project. I have an old 9-key speedpad that I used before I got my Loupedeck. Blank keycaps. And the software I used to configure it is old and janky; not maintained anymore, it looks like.

This insane asshole has been doing nothing but crimes since the day he took office, you're the only branch of government with the power to remove him and you're not even going to try because it might not work? Why are you even there? To feel important and do insider trading?

I hope Amandine Foquenet keeps racing cyclocross. Long time since I've cheered for a french rider. (I refuse to cheer for PFP, the absolute worst bike driver to ever be world champ.)

And Rafael Carrier! What a great race for her!

Huh. I mean.

What?

Like, I know what this word means, but hell if I can figure out how it's going to fit into my year.

Every day that passes I feel better about cancelling my NYT sub. Even though I was only playing the Games, I'm glad to no longer be funding this horrendous shit.

Remarkably, ever since I started replying to spam texts letting them know I had time to talk about/schedule “fucking your mom, dingus,” I’ve stopped getting them. Unexpected.

I actually thought of a decent New Year’s resolution this year: I’ll buy 12 albums that I only listen to on streaming. I think I want to own more things like that from now on.

I just saw a video of Andrew Tate getting extremely humiliated and beaten up, and it’s just so satisfying to see someone so awful fight so badly. His head dint cave in like a soft melon on contact, but we can’t have it all.

I’m thinking very seriously about buying a car this year, for various reasons. But even a used EV is quite a lot of money. I can afford it, but I don’t WANT to.

I had a few fitness goals this year. One was to ride 5000km, and I did. Mostly gravel.

One of the others was to do 1 (one) deadlift at 400lbs and I did that tonight.

Meaningless numbers, but it was fun to do them anyway.

Being 48 is great. Woke up and immediately hurt my neck. While still lying down. Without really moving, actually. I think opening my eyes is what did it.
