Still! The apes are so silly and full of personality and there's so much cute attention to detail, im keen to try the sequels and see if the camera in those is less nausea inducing

I really adore this kind of more open and explorey 3D platformer/collectathon, a la spyro and banjo, though ape escape does the mario sunshine padding nonsense where you can only need 5/6 apes to beat a level so it kicks you out and makes you restart if you wanted that 6th lol

11- Ape Escape

The vibes! The music and lil levels are so fun + funky and the apes are so cute, even if it has the most tortuous controls and camera combo I've ever experienced and i was constantly motion sick from it i still liked it a lit. Needed so much ginger to 100% but ape escape rules okay

10- The Exit 8

This is charming way to spend 40 min, a more puzzly spin on a PT loop than going for outright horror. I gamed vicariously thru my brother for this while horizontal on the couch because wow this is not a motion sick friendly game lol

Since learning the PS2 original has a very different vibe with weather effects + a small 3rd town that was cut I really want to check it out

You just have to become one with the maggots, a phrase i repeated over and over as I accepted I was doing the boss without silk + hiding down in the swamp water, i reached a zen state of sorts

8- Pepper Grinder

This is a cute little time! I think it has a few too many levels focused on things that aren't the platforming so it's not quite kaze or the good yooka laylee level for me if u want a real juicy 2D platformer but it's good fun

7- The Exorcist

I can def see why this is a classic, and when it hits it hits so good, though the movie doesnt really start until 30 minutes in lol
