Vandaag zag ik iemand eervol, moedig en fatsoenlijk de belangen van zijn land verdedigen in het Witte Huis. Het was de gast, niet de gastheer helaas. Zelenskyy verdient de volledige steun van de EU en ook Nederland zal er een schep bovenop moeten doen.

Mocht je je nog afvragen waarom gezichtsbedekking bij demonstraties nodig kan zijn - “je hebt toch niks te verbergen?” - het antwoord is simpel: je wéét niet wat je in de toekomst te verbergen hebt. Wat vandaag nog niet strafbaar is, kan dat kennelijk morgen met terugwerkende kracht alsnog worden.
