including this one, I should say! it only got a 1080p BD release despite being a "4k" restoration. I chose to download/upload this encode because frankly I didn't think the image quality on the 1080 looked very good and wanted to upload something fast. Sample screenshots from the disc here

Just got Two Towers and damn, this print is much sharper and better looking than the one sourced for fellowship! real shame I haven't found a 4k/hdr of the other two scans because they'd be even more impressive! regardless, definitely the way to watch these after looking at comps w/ official bd/4k

after checking out both the FOTR HDR theatrical 4k and 1080 SDR I have to say, the 4k hdr is much better than I expected, it's really nice after looking at the official 4k remaster where all the effects shots now look alien and nothing that's composited feels like its in one place. thanks!

I had downloaded the 4k of this but not opened it till now, it looks like one of the reasons people might not have noticed the quality issues is the encode settings are heavily weighted to the keyframes, while the majority of the frames get much less bitrate, 3 frames at 100% in sequence:

if you haven't, or if you have, I can't recommend watching Jeeves and Wooster enough. Best intro animation and music ever and it's hilarious because it's fry and laurie doing wodehouse
