this as well! i made sure to do all internships/practicums/classes that incorporated projects done in a working library and it gave me some solid experience with actual library systems that i could then talk about practically. i did it because i learn best by doing, but it worked wonders for the CV.

networking through local library organizations worked for me. but i was also lucky enough to have a master's degree already when I got my MLIS, so academia was rather happy to scoop me up. but i did A LOT of work through special interest groups in local orgs early in my career and it still serves me

as a person who has a lot of trouble personing, i have quite a bit of patience for coping mechanisms that annoy me but help someone else function. and i DEFINITELY don't want to fuck with someone's ability to make a living unless i'm pushed pretty far because this country is a capitalist hellscape.

chunky serif fonts and cursive fonts seem to be what google images thinks of, but i hate cursive fonts for their general lack of readability.
