AI Summaries as a form of censorship.

It wad curious that this video with the word "Microslop" in the title wad given an AI summary. But more so interesting is how the summary waters it down I watched the video and it definitely didn't just call Satella's remarks "confusing"

lol the innovation at Microsoft is unbelievable. They've finally found a way to make Rust code unsafe.

Expect quality to get even worse at Microsoft in regards to Microsoft Office and security.

If you are still paying for Disney+ do note you are paying for your children and family to get shown shitty AI-generated videos

The way AI art is pushed is so bizare if you think about it. Imagine if in 1997 Coca Cola were like "The Clip Art Genie is out of the bottle, from now on these will be our advertisements, it saves us a lot of money. like it or not"

I can say I tried upscaling a similar Sub-zero picture using only nearest and I am not happy with the result. Some sort of filtering would be necessary IMO

In the spirit of media preservation and also because I agree with you, but also because I really despise cropped aspect ratio but also because I like showing off my classic simpsons library

On Friday some weird blog that advertises AI shit declared that AWS fired 40% of the devops team and replaced them with AI last Monday. But it looks highly speculative, and some of the descriptions of the supposed new tools sound like adverts. archive.fo/b6aUD

They leak this stuff to the press so that the media report it and makes it look like a warning about Billionaires. But it is in fact an advertisement for OpenAI. Pushing nonsensical claims that it is ever going to develop "AGI" and about how powerful it will be.

Most of the time I assume this AI-pushing is something companies are doing so that they can show investors that "We do AI too!"

But there's times it really does feel like they are sadists. Like their true calling was to be Jig Saw but they've settled as UX designers?

I don't really buy emulation handhelds thinking of things like Wii Emulation. The Retroid Pocket 5 really surprised me here. Super Mario Galaxy can run at 1080p (The emulator can enhance the rendering resolution). It's basically a remaster. Let's be honest, this 1080p OLED screen tops the Switch 2's

Imagine if in any other period of history, you released a piece of software that made constant mistakes and your "fix" to the issue was to add a warning label to it.
