My friend and I got to talking about Mother Ginger and I did some homework. The role has always been played by a man in drag. The premiere of The Nutcracker, a ballet for children, featured Nikolai Yakovlev in the role, in Saint Petersburg, in 1892, with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky in attendance.

I went through my follow list and found several more. Same story every time - I supported their art or work, they grew, they're not interested anymore. (But have not unfollowed me on Twitter, where my numbers are bigger.)
I cleaned house. Not going to continue supporting.

So if I was moots with someone who got kinda big, or maybe very big, on Twitter, and now we're both on Bluesky, and I interact and am friendly with them, and they never follow back or initiate, should I just, like, take the hint? Go away?

My uber-pale winter skin made me look like a lipstick-wearing ghoul, and I'm sure I sounded like my usual manic, rambling, nervous self, but I survived. First-time children's illustrator Ilona, of course, was awesome! I couldn't be prouder of her! 💗

I don't know how many of you remember but he got devastatingly ill with COVID near the beginning. His wife said he'd need care for the rest of his life. Many ESO fans donated to this cause. (He was the voice of Mannimarco.)
I hope he's free of the pain it put him through.

If I want to cut back on snacking, I really should buy fewer.
