that's true. my own guess is square. maybe even kingdom hearts 4? though ff16 was like. well put together (nicest thing I could say about it)

I feel like card games (tcg) are one of the biggest way that the transformation of interest for a thing to directly become status and notoriety in a community. money quite literally gets turned into status and it is 9 times out of 10 strictly correlated to having untold amounts of income

largely I do think we should go back to the days where a "fandom" was a happy accident instead of a long term capital generation project. sometimes nice things come out of them but then you like. sell too many tchotckes and I have to step back and say "my friend I only have so much physical space"
