Topology matters little here. Those are all concept meshes - the start of the pipeline.
It has to be converted to low poly before the question of the polybudgets comes up. In gamedev env harsurface meshes get the most ridiculous treatment, it's literally whatever gets through the pipeline faster

Most of the concept meshes I produce can be reused as highpoly with minimal editing/alteration, but not always. Depends on the circumstances, mesh, and pipeline.

I don't think I've ever encountered any issues with scene navigation in Blender. All my scenes are to scale.

Rendered. It's a kitbash I've made a while ago. The secret, as always, is a tiny bit of haze from the mist pass and a couple more layers of it in Krita.
