Still not a great sign that so few reputed operators of rail are willing to take it on. Rail companies rightfully recognize that American politicians crave “innovative” unproven approaches and can grift there.

Are those operating partially under wires, or are they fully on batteries? Would be an interesting thought experiment to see if trains could be run down Rock Island and back up on Electric (and vice versa) if in-motion charging is possible
