Humans actually have little focus in my story. The stars of the show are all nonhuman creatures such as vampires. Witches are the closest thing to what one may consider “human”, but even they are quite different when you get a good look.

Well… our main cast is technically under the category of “monsters”, save for the witches (I suppose?).
Though… this story does pit our monsters against a different brand of monster entirely. A very, very different brand.

Life Itself primarily surrounds the fictional English town of Mourningshire; populated almost entirely by monsters, most of them vampires. The city’s got its own boroughs, kinda like a smaller version of NYC.

Throughout my life, I had long been suspected to be neurodivergent. By teachers, by friends, by myself. But I never had a clear answer, and that was very frustrating for me.
In early August of this year, I was finally assessed as autistic. I also have ADHD. Biggest sigh of relief I’ve ever had.

I have a LOT of OCs who are gay men, but I think I’ll highlight Darius this time around. He has very tumultuous romances with the men in his life, particularly a Setite named Julian. Just throw in a dash of constant backstabbing and manipulation! Toxic Yaoi for the win!

Imagine hyperfixating on OCs who are technically spoiler characters for your story and you lowkey don’t wanna reveal them too early, but you wanna flex your character design skills and give life to these OCs regardless because you love them so much.
