Northerner. Stuff I like: birds, food, fishing, social equality.
If you go into the story, you can see the social post with the doctored "Franklin" book cover. I mean, dude is incompetent and murderous, in general, this act just features cancon.

"This morning, the Assembly of First Nations that Carney was addressing voted unanimously to reject the proposed bitumen pipeline promised in the Memorandum of Understanding that Carney recently signed with Alberta Premier Danielle Smith." They did this before the meeting, can't blame them.

I know some folks think archival stuff is boring. It is not. This is a hugely important, historical document, critical to how Canada (as a country) emerged. Super important, access will ensure many FN get to SEE the agreement their ancestors had no party to, which affected them/all descendants.

France did colonize a fair chunk of Canada! They lost some bits to the Brits, had them given back then lost them again with interest. They retain St. Pierre and Miquelon.

Large family: we used to DO the dances. Very much enjoy the music, but it doesn't make me work more/faster.

Exactly like in nature: no two hallicinatory/toxic mushrooms ARE alike!

Most babies/toddlers will never be in an otherwise safe situation where they could chew on giraffes and monkeys. Mushrooms, on the other hand.

Sorry for that, but also, kuddos to you, doing grass-roots/accessible work, on all of this stuff.
December 2, 2025 at 2:54 AM
Indeed, one should. Sadly, such tasks are rarely acknowledged when the (important?) endless work of mythic beings is described, celebrated or, you know, AT LEAST ACKNOWLEDGED, dagnabbit.

Also looks like a little like a pig. Are either pigs/hedgehogs historically important?

Enjoy that this holiday "treat" was, you know, not much of one. Did you set it on fire, from time-to-time, as the holiday approached? That would be fun, for kids not getting actual food treats, maybe?

A lid for every pot, etc. etc. Dear social media, do NOT show me how anyone has posted the ways they conform to that specific phrase, please and thank you.

Okay, despite their small size, buffleheads are THE MOST fighty diving duck around. Have seen boy b'heads just go after male goldeneyes who dared to be black and white on the same pond/small lake. Fleet tracks.

Ice formation is sooo cool. Watched oancake stack-up start/fail on the Yukon in Dawson City 2wks ago. Have heard that stretch is now ice-covered. Yeah! Also adore spring candle-ice.
