I currently have a very close to finish book, an almost complete draft of another book and at least 2 other semi-formed books in the wings! Project hopping may not be an ideal habit. But it happens. #amwriting

Yes @steveofmcleod.com each stage of the writing journey can feel like a stepping stone across a river. There are stones that feel wobbly, or the gap between stones is daunting. The possibilty of reaching the other side sometimes feels dubious.
