Ok HERE is a handy Euler diagram and a handy Venn diagram to help you understand the difference between Euler diagrams and Venn diagrams
Euler diagram with three circles, labelled "Euler diagrams", "All circles overlap" - those two overlap partly - and "Venn diagrams", which is positioned so it is entirely within BOTH other circles, but there is still some space in the first two circles that isn't occupied by the third Venn diagram showing all the overlaps between "overlapping circles", "statistical diagrams" and "claims to explain everything". In the overlap between overlapping circles and stat diagrams, there is a point marked "Euler diagrams". In the centre, where all three circles overlap, is the point "Venn diagrams". In the overlap between "overlapping circles" and "claims to explain everything" is Wassily Kandinsky artwork, and in the overlap between "statistical diagrams" and "claims to explain everything" is Time Cube.
