This is devastating. This woman taught us so much about being funny while staying grounded. She brought so much joy to so many people, and has been one of my favorite actors for decades. She is an icon, and gone way, way, way too soon. This is a terrible loss.

I got notified that my mail-in ballot was rejected/invalid because my ballot apparently wasn't in the ballot envelope. OF COURSE IT WAS. Now I have to figure out a way to get to my polling location, which is about a 20 minute walk away for an able-bodied person. This is very not cool.

I keep seeing people say, oh, trans people must take a hit for the greater good and, first of all, no, you don't get to discard someone else's rights and second, we know from past experience that marginalized communities like theirs are merely the first to be targeted. They'll come for you next.

I just received an email from the New York Peer Specialist Certification Board saying that my application has been accepted as meeting all the requirements, and it's moving on to final approval. I can expect to receive my certification in November!
