if Israel were an evil nation it would have been easier to do what the Turks did with the Armenians, or the Sri Lanka with the Tamils, but there are hundreds of examples

1) They've got plenty of cement and other construction material; have you seen the tunnels they've built? They just chose to use it for other purposes.
2) Israel doesn't sequester its military in the Negev because it does not need to do so to avoid intermixing military and civilian targets
