Kronk is sitting in my lap when there's a noise elsewhere in the house. Kronk jumps down and trots off.

"Okay, buddy, report back on what that noise was."

About 15min later, he comes back.

"What was the noise?"

Kronk looks around confused.

"Did you forget why you got up?"

Kronk squeaks.

We've reached a compromise where he sleeps on top of paper and pens I'm not using right now and I keep my mousing arm against his flank.

Kronk has officially progressed to "If I sit on the keyboard, he has to pay attention to me."

Maybe it's just because I've done way more of the latter, but I think I vastly prefer working bar/bat mitzvahs to weddings.
