Everyday, more proof that in terms of emotional intelligence, my 6-year-old has surpassed the president of the United States. I mean, my son wouldn’t say that to one other person and this man-child says it to the whole world.

A good time to re-up the closing ad of Mamdani's campaign--a master class in how to use history to make the case for a progressive future. bsky.app/profile/zohr...
UNTIL IT’S DONE, Ep. 5: Vito Marcantonio

There are many who dismiss our vision for New York as impossible. To them, I say we need look only to our past for proof of how we can shape the future.

Tomorrow is Election Day. And this is the final Until It's Done of our campaign.

It’s amazing these violent, maladjusted assholes didn’t kill more people during their reign of terror. I have no doubt some of them wanted to.

Here’s a thread on how an attempt on Venezuelan oil could go horribly wrong. I watched it happen in Colombia for years. Now add cheap drone technology to the mix & that oil infrastructure becomes EXTREMELY vulnerable to sabotage. Refineries & storage tanks weren’t designed to withstand attacks.💥💥🔥🔥
Colombian guerrillas would just drive along the road & shoot holes into the pipeline. They would then start a huge blaze with a flare. It was extremely destructive to the environment & poisoned streams. The pipelines had to parallel the road for servicing reasons, so it was impossible to protect. 3/

Igniting his barely-contained narcissistic rage (combined with ever increasing dementia-fueled disinhibition) could result in a firehose of f-bombs, racism and misogyny. No more “low IQ” or “be quiet.” It’d be Trump unbridled. It’s all there, begging to be released.

And in many cases, connecting to an “ethnic-sounding” name means going back a few steps. A friend of mine is half Puerto Rican, but her mom married a Polish guy, so she used to have a Polish last name. When she married, she took her husband’s Irish last name. It’s AMERICA.

Oh, and in exchange for our home values being decimated because banks caused a crisis by loaning gobs of $$$ to anyone with a pulse, we then bailed said banks out so they could … all give themselves bonuses. Fun times all around.

It was a condo (12 unit bldg). Hard times. Luckily only one owner had to sell at a huge loss. And our bylaws forbade renting. And we couldn’t amend them bc if a certain % of units were rented, prospective buyers couldn’t get loans. The villains who caused the whole crisis suddenly got really picky 🤗

My realtor in 2005 talked those up. She thought I was crazy for getting a 30 year fixed. “First-time homeowners only stay in their home an average of three years, Mike,” she said. I stayed fifteen. I was lucky I didn’t have to sell bc by 2009 my place was worth half what I paid.
