We make TTRPGS! https://www.unicyclegames.com/ Our debut title, THE LONG ROAD AHEAD is available now for pay-what-you-want on Itch.io & DriveThru RPG!
My go-to is Bannerless Games' KILLER RATINGS for a one shot experience that picks up like a party game and lets me sit back and goad my players into making bad choices in the name of compelling reality TV.

Oh yeah like I am not great with kids but they're largely blameless for the ways they tend to be aggravating. A grown man acting like a minimum-wage game store employee is ruining his life by telling him he can't buy our ENTIRE meagre allocation of TCG stock however? Fully responsible for himself.

We even put out a discard basket (with the intent of just...giving the cards away to kiddos or having them available for kids to play with) and they were like "nah" and throwing them in the bin. Intense combo of rage and like...secondhand embarrassment? to see a grown man acting like this 🤦♀️

I can't deal with the grown men who not only buy out all the TCG stock IMMEDIATELY at the LGS where I work but have full blown temper tantrums about availability+limits. Also, the horror and disgust I experience watching these guys rip open packs and *throw cards away* if they don't want them.

I can grow food plants outside great. If I look at a houseplant for too long at the garden center, it will simply pass away 😑

I have written an adventure specifically for teaching The Long Road Ahead at events, which is designed explicitly to teach all the basic movies + run in 4 hours or less. Haven't published it yet, but I have written it 😅

I would have so much fun painting everyone's tiny Mavens. I suppose you could just use them as paperweights for your character sheet 😹

The books did not arrive despite the shipping estimate so I will find out at some nebulous point in the future. I have heard from other people who read it (either arcs or the original Polish I guess?) that it's pretty enjoyable so I have hope!

Almost seven years sober under these conditions mostly out of spite at this point but I DO wish I was utterly submerged in absinthe and champagne instead of all these craft supplies, betimes.

Hey, @romgothsam.bsky.social, would it be possible to share this with the Romancing the Gothic folks so they can hook Chris up? This inquiry seems in the RtG wheelhouse!

I don't have any reccs off the top of my head (my specific speciality is the English ghost story) but would you mind if I tagged in someone who could connect this inquiry with the right folks?

Not quite that small but I was until very recently in a game with a guy who used to be roommates with my boss from a job I quit 10 years and three states ago 😹

Surprisingly our household was less acutely sick than last year's double-tap but it took almost a week to stop being ridiculously tired 😴

I'm teaching myself some basic linocut type printmaking skills and it's only a matter of time before I have to sneak out of our apartment to try and covertly walk to the urgent care across the street so they don't know I have been wounded in battle (stabbed myself with the carvers)
