Lucifer has a PATTERN of letting Charlie down. That’s WHY she calls Lilith over and over despite not having heard from her in 7 years instead of calling Lucifer, who confirms in s1e she hasn’t called in years.

HONESTLY THAT SCENE IN S2 EP1 IS VERY TELLING, with the clip of Val hitting Angel. The fact that Vox remembers and has a compilation ready, and laughs about it, versus the fact that Val DOESN'T remember— and doesn't laugh at it, just teases Vox about being obsessed with him. IT SAYS A LOT.
