IMO there's a real reluctance among some to even engage w/the possibility that the limitations of earlier hardware generations might have contributed something valuable to our experiences with some games on them. Some simply must see technically more advanced graphics as an inherent, objective good.
I reviewed Metal Gear Solid Delta - and I feel the same about it that I do about Persona 3 Reload - I don’t really know why it exists. I think this remake doesn’t quite get how the limitations of the PS2 were important to the game’s identity (1/2) www.inverse.com/gaming/metal...

One thing I've learned from using a car with mostly touchscreens for three months is that the meme of wanting big chunky buttons is 1000% true and we should appreciate ergonomic design like gaming controllers more, even third party, because they're not slapping you with a poor solution
