I have older ReSound LINX Quattro hearing aids. They have configurable noise cancellation modes, including a "restaurant mode" that's pretty decent at amplifying voices and reducing noise. (I don't have total hearing loss though)

I switched my house to MacOS and KUbuntu, which works surprisingly well on a laptop that even Win10 struggled on. I too used to work at MS so that step felt a bit weird but I can't take the BS anymore.
