My play is seeking a debut. An aging, former U.S. Army guard recounts his days as a back-up guard at Spandau prison, guarding former High Ranking Nazis sentenced at the Nuremburg Trials. As the play unravels, a chilling yet intimate portrait of the human side of inhumanity begins to emerge. #theatre

Worked on a fan fiction and on my latest novel both today. A few thousand words in total. #writer

These days I am leaning hard into some more of my eccentricities. Not just to be cute, but for survival. With so much going on, too many spoons are eaten up without having to maintain ancient proprieties and multiple masks. #grief #autism

Kind of a boring game. Forgettable ads.

Country Roads sung by the crowd, and a horribly off key DJ during a break in the speed skating event at the #winterolympics. They could have muted that for us at home.

Well posting with you all about the #openingceremony was fun. This is the first one since my mother died, and we always watched them together each cycle. #winterolympics

A moving cauldron is pretty neat. #openingceremony

The sub venues do have a classic winter village look to them, I give them that. #openingceremony

The Olympic anthem always feels endless and rambling to me. #openingceremony

I don't know enough about Italy to know if any of those gestures really mean any of that... #openingceremony

So the grown up in me knows the torch is already lit, but it doesn't seem official until i watch it happen on TV lol. #openingceremony

Spreading the cities out for a Games makes sense, economically. But we lose a little something with it not being one city and its suburbs (most) of the time. But as it stands, the often bankrupt that single city, so...yeah. #openingceremony

Always feel sorry for the people whose job it is to dance in place for three hours during the parade. #openingceremony

Traditionally, watching the #openingceremony for me is an evening thing. But this year, had I not been at work, I may have watched the live stream to get away from some of the weird editorial choices NBC is making for primetime.

I like how in one of the mountain venues we see a PARAlympic image already. (appears to be a neon wheelchair curler.) #openingceremony

I was sort of hoping Snoop wouldn't be a thing this time around. #openingceremony

Not sure I like splitting up the parade into the venue cities. Doesn't feel the same. #openingceremony

NBC's poetics will not inspire anybody who is not already watching. Years of that.... #openingceremony

Been a while, but this seems more interesting than what I recall from Torino Games so far. #openingceremony #Italy
