Just got my sample D12 from Die Hard Dice. It is somewhat smaller than my D20, but it still fits the chainmail cage on my keychain. Next step on the path to #Zinequest, order a few varieties of chainmail dice cage keychains from Etsy, see what fits the D12 best. #D12Expeditions ho!

Just got the cover for my next short story. Hope to publish it in the 1st of the year. It is a 3.8k word action adventure set in a near future world where magic is suppressed and a battle of wills over the future of magic is about to begin.

Wrapping up the Minimalist TTRPG 3 Jam I have decided to expand my single 11X17 Zine. Now it has a starting adventure, some sample archetypes, and character sheets.

With the Minimalist Game Jam 3 coming to an end I am working on the future of my D12 Expeditions Zine. So far I have the how to play, how to run, a sample adventure, sample archetypes, and character sheets.

Combat Roles Each creature has a roll in combat that plays to their strengths. Roll Description Ambush Uses stealth and being hidden to gain advantage in combat. Base 3 HP. Bruiser Holds their own, but work best with followers and a leader. Base 5 HP Horde Horde creatures are designed to work in coordination with other horde creatures but are weak on their own. Base 1 HP. Leader Leads groups of adversaries. They enhance and amplify the abilities of their followers. Base 3 HP. Ranged Sits on the edge of the battlefield. Base 2 HP. Skirmisher Mobile and supporting other adversaries with a both ranged and melee. Base 3 HP. Solo Can stand on their own. Base 6 HP. Follower Filling up the ranks of Adversaries they work best backing a leader, solo, or bruiser. Base 2 HP. Combat Abilities Creatures should do more than just attack. They should have interesting Actions that work together with other adversaries. Actions that just do damage should set up the other adversaries to follow up with. Actions that follow up and give conditions along with damage or otherwise effect the battlefield. As for Reactions, they should dissuade characters from making a specific action, but not prevent that action. It should encourage the players to mix up their character's actions and inspire new tactics. Defenses and Stats Adversaries have the 6 stats, 3 Defenses, Deflect, and HP. They are not bonuses but Target Numbers. You can get the Target Numbers from the difficulty of the creature.

I am putting together a quickstart guide with advice for new GMs to run my #ttrpg. I have more space on the advice for creating adversaries and have an inch or so of additional space to fill. Is there anything big I am missing in my advice?
Crafting Adversaries When crafting adversaries keep in mind not just their combat capabilites, but their impact on the story. Motivation Everyone has a motivation. Be it a plan they are trying to execute, a thing they want to acquire, or an influence they wish to gain. Target Numbers The player needs to roll over the target number to succeed. Easy 5 Moderate 7 Hard 9 Adversaries should have strengths and weaknesses. Their Defense Target Numbers should reflect them. Acts Antagonists should have multiple actions to choose from. Actions should do 1 to 3 damage. Maneuvers should effect the battlefield or provide movement. Responses should interrupt player Actions in an interesting way. Exploiting attacks should do more damage or add an effect to the Act. Acts also have a target number associated with them that Players roll their Defenses to block. Complications Each act should have some sort of Complication associated with them that does something special when the Player rolls a 1 on the d12. These complications can move Characters, apply Conditions, or otherwise shake up the battlefield in a way that is thematically tied to the Act.

To differentiate I have been describing the arcane magic in anime terms where glowing symbols and arrays manifest before the effect of the spell.

For divine magic they come from some sort of aura in the shape of an angel/saint/outsider that manifests like a stand from Jojo.

Spell sheet done. It now unlocks when you choose an archetype, loads when you click the tab, allows you to choose spells, then if you go back an choose a different archetype it un-chooses the spells and presents you with a blank sheet.

sooo many dictionaries of pointers. But it works.

Finally, my temp styling of the character sheet is complete. I found some bugs in the archetype controls, but nothing too difficult to sort out. It is just not properly releasing items chosen in dropdowns. Also, I should have the skills dropdowns query the sheet to see if a skill is already chosen.

Finally, on my fourth run at it, my Ancestry Selector of my character creator is working... I think. It is the only one that isn't autogenerated, but it works. Now on to Stat selection. we will see if I can get click and drag onto a stat slot working.
