To be clear - I'm for getting rid of the filibuster.
That said - Trump only wants to get rid of it bc he sees a quick 'win' that will actually hurt them in the future when the Democrats can also take advantage of simple majority. He doesn't know what he is saying. He is only thinking short-term.

When someone says they are nervous about something just tell them they will be great and it will be fine. Don't give tips or advice unless they actually ask for it. People who are nervous don't want a list of things to be nervous about. They want reassurance. So stop trying to fix and hear instead.

My parents expect me to cook dinner every single night to not spend money bc I'm wasteful that way. But like I grew up with my family going out to eat 5 nights a week and eating leftovers from those dinners the other two nights. We only cooked together on holidays.

They can read "Harry ran to the curb to buy explosives for his friends house." But they don't understand the sentence is saying he's gonna blow up his friends house...

Sometimes I feel like men are just fucking chicken. Like they want to be seen as protectors and problem solvers, but they will literally do anything but make an assertive plan unless you tell them, "I need you to make an assertive plan."
