If you give it a watch, tell me what fabric count you’ve stitched on at the smallest — and whether you’ve got a floss-storage solution that won’t make me weep. 😅

I would happily embed your Bluesky post or (if you send me an image to use) link to your profile/website for use and attribution! Whatever you'd prefer 🧡

I have an example for myself (unfortunately - whomp whomp) but I'd love more than one example, basically.

2. Have you stitched a huge project like this before? Please drop your tips, hacks, pep talks, snacks of choice... I’ll take it all!

Wish me luck - and may the floss gods be in our favour. 😂

I’m ridiculously excited (and *mildly* terrified) to tackle something this enormous, so tell me:
1. Are you joining the 2026 HAED SAL? Which of the 12 designs are you doing? As you saw, I chose "Fairytale".

This will be my first ever HAED stitch-along so naturally, I needed to photograph the full floss buffet beforehand. There’s just something so amazing about seeing all those skeins lined up. Honestly, it’s a bit like wrangling children; just more straightforward, less sticky.

What about you: do you have your own “non-essential essentials”? Something that isn’t required, but makes stitching SO much better? Please share yours!

And as a bonus essential...

🧵 DMC floss

Sure, embroidery floss is essential in general, but for me, it must be high-quality, colourfast, and smooth to work with. DMC is my absolute go-to and what I use in all of my pattern designs.
