And this permissive transmisogyny transfers to real life. Once worked with boys school who had a tradition of dressing seniors up as girls on the final day of school as a joke. The joke? Boys looking like girls. The struggling trans girl at the school was being told every year that she was a joke.

I went to see Box Trolls in theaters with someone and we'd seen the stories of how there was transphobic content in it.

The evil villain in this movie cross-dresses to play a persona, Lady Frou Frou, and a character later says "I regret so much" for hooking up with her when this is revealed.

Restricting the ability to change your gender marker on a passport carries zero applicable benefit. It’s ONLY about terrorizing a small population to acclimatize the public to government attacks on marginalized groups.
