Tonight, the 10 year old is having a sleep-over with her two best friends. It's a Harry Potter themed party per Hannah's request. They are currently making potions with the potions kits I bought each of them and laughing a lot. xD

I swear it feels colder tonight than it did Friday or Saturday...we're heading into another super cold morning tomorrow with wind chills in the -20 to -30 range. We'll see if the superintendent cancels school again.

Bears didn't win on my birthday, but it was one hell of a season. Nobody ever expected us to get this far in the playoffs or hell even make the playoffs. I'll take this NFC North crown and wear it into next year because now that we've taken the North...we're never giving it back.

It's probably the steroids talking, but I felt really good today at work. My allergic reaction symptoms are gone. I do tend to get the "inappropriate happiness" symptom when I take prednisone. This is why this drug is dangerous. Anyways, two more days of happiness then I'll be my regular depressed.

Stephen didn't do so well with the gift assignment this year. Apparently, he has no recollection of me telling him what I wanted. Maybe I shouldn't tell him important things while he's reading a book? I did get a bunch of gift cards at least. It'll be okay.

I've managed to wrap 13 gifts at home while the girls are here somehow without them noticing. I also got the in-law's gifts wrapped. I had told the girls earlier that I had to wrap Nana and Papa's gifts today so that's probably why they left me alone. Little did they know!

Have to say that my cousins have really come through for me this year after losing Dad and with Mom's diagnosis of lymphoma. Text messages, phone calls, helping Mom, stopping at my work to bring me flowers... it has been a blessing to feel closer to my family. <3

When we were 14, my childhood friend lost his mother suddenly. We were all so stunned. His Dad had asked my parents if I could come over and keep Joe company in the days after. I had been in their house a million times in my life...but it was never the same after. On Saturday, his Dad passed.

Hannah knows her Elf on the Shelf returns tomorrow morning. She wanted to go to bed at 7:30 tonight in anticipation. As she’s going to bed, she makes a point of a grand exit. I peeked in her room and she had her head hid under the blanket so she didn’t see anything lol.
