In Outcast (1999, Appeal), instead of spending keys to open wooden doors, you can just blow them up with dynamite.
This is kinda useless because there's pretty much always a key (or an enemy with one) nearby.

In Pitfall: The Mayan Adventure for the Sega Mega Drive, if you choose a control scheme that doesn't use B to Jump, Harry Jr. won't jump onto the minecar in the intro cutscene of the level Runaway Minecar, softlocking the game.

Surprised that the cut alt fire is so different from another leftover effect in the final game.
If you start firing normally, hold alt fire, and release normal fire, the stream keeps going without spending ammo, at the cost of doing no damage at all.
Also, the effect is different in the 25yr ver.
