Decided to try a new project with leftovers.
You can see where I changed to a 1 in 4 chainmail weave from the 1 in 6 (much tighter) in order to get the buckle prong through the belt.
Not sure what else I could have done as I really like the 1 in 6 weave and wanted the belt in that style.
