Oh yeah, there’s certainly a nice group of folks keeping it alive on a small scale, but after reading the paper I mentioned in my original post I considered the ancient pan-cultural traditions we’ve lost even so recently and got a little sad. Missing something you never had, in a sense

I agree. They absolutely must not be lost entirely. Certainly something to mourn on a wide-scale, cultural level though 🙁
