The amount of tax-payer money that these same people have handed to greyhound racing in the last few years would pay for this hospice for children with life-limiting conditions. The existence of one is contingent on private charity, the other has it's existence guaranteed by the state. Priorities.

Not sure who the guest is, but he says more needs to be spent on AI Safety ... failing to mention that the companies that fund "AI" ethics research keep firing their ethicists.

For starters - no Irish State/Gov agencies/politicians should be on Twitter. None. They could do this today and it would actually be more than just empty words.

this sort of commentary also ignores the fact that regular people and those at risk from the current housing market aren't really interested in investment funds and building wealth – most people would be happy to just feed their kids and know that they aren't a landlord's whim away from homelessness
