Really? Because the Greens are surging right now based on nothing to do with that scummy behaviour - AND he's continued doing it after getting elected.

You're right that it hasn't benefited him, but he also isn't learning either - just leaning harder into it.

Is it a mystery?

Starmer has been cosying up with the right-wing press since day one

Sure, maybe the Government in power could do something about it. Maybe they could actually ensure that the regulator they control has teeth and used them, for example

Incredible that this will issue revaluations every five years... But we're stuck using council tax valuations from decades ago

They talk about Labour's assault on immigrants and trans people whenever Labour asks them to.

Doesn't sound particularly hostile to me. Practically cosy.

Labour has been quite happy to fuel that agenda with their own pandering to racism and other bigotries.

They don't get to complain about the monster they create.

Resorting to trying to put your words in my mouth might be the strangest turn you've made in my replies yet

Are you calling the Resolution Foundation an "enemy" of Rachel Reeves?
November 27, 2025 at 5:16 PM
Mine is that they've managed to install a (kind of, very expensive for what it actually provides) fully kitted gym... which you couldn't feasibly drop a weight in without causing a lot of expensive damage
November 27, 2025 at 4:54 PM
Can you imagine if Reeves actually presented a budget that looked like something from the 1970s?

I'm pretty sure the collective shock to our entire media sector would involve the entire industry collapsing into a black hole.

It's a town bigger than 100,000 people, of course it has some rough areas!

It's the kind of take that simply couldn't come from someone who's existed outside a Sussex village or a walled community

It's ok though, it's not just that Oxford is extremely posh and has sky-high prices because of the extreme wealth common there.

Oxford isn't all that fancy apparently, it has "some rough areas", after all.

If my eyes rolled any harder my head would topple off my shoulders.
