🌊 (He/him/his) 🚫 hate 🚫 fear 🚫 lies

I'm a Dad, son, husband, brother, and uncle. 🏳️‍⚧️ LGBTQ+ ally 🏳️‍🌈 IT guy in DFW TX. Always curious, always learning how little I know!

Losing my mind for real, be kind when I'm incomprehensible 🤪

Acting Commandant Admiral Kevin E. Lunday, who reports to the civilian Secretary of Homeland Security, is practically begging for a swastika to be painted on his front door at Bolling Afb DC.

We'll see then how merely "divisive" this shit is vs. a sheer, violent hate crime.

Don't make the mistake I did asking Chat GPT instead of just looking in the dictionary.

"What a thoughtful, nuanced question…blah blah…Greek…pubescence…attraction…"

Followed by "Hey, would you like me to tell you about every other prefix you can use with -philia? I can cover pedo, necro, etc." 🤮

Why do we even ask questions like that to which we already know the answer?

Why did or didn't Blanche do this or that? Because he's a corrupt s.o.b. who thinks he's going to get a whole big barrel of money from Trump somehow by being loyal.

He's drinking Trump's tainted blood. May he choke on it.

"Disgraced ex-Senator" will just trip off our tongues

Oh, right. Sex crimes against children performed by oligarchs running our gov't. shouldn't be spoken of at all!

They don't begin to see how deranged they sound! It's unreal.

Maybe they truly *are* subhuman CHUDs now? Like Satan is pulling the biggest fuckover ever on them & their God. 1-way down!

With respect, unless he gave you his ejection fraction, the discussion is moot.

Did I miss it is all?

And we're relying on Zip Recruiter for job numbers. I kid you not.

Thank you for posting a pic with more than just the sky. Those are also beautiful, but the land stretching out in front of you in this image also makes it more approachable.

It gives our minds a sense of the scale with which to appreciate the phenomenon. It gives us important visual context. Nice 👍

Their data is jacked up. What the heck does this table presenting some of their data even mean?!

Medical Tourism is when people go to a country to have a medical procedure done much more cheaply than the US.

This has absolutely nothing to do with H-1B Visas, LCAs, approvals, or job categories! Sus
November 12, 2025 at 7:23 PM
Not saying the data is invalid, but "ZipRecruiter salary estimates, histograms, trends and comparisons are derived from both employer job postings and third party data sources."

Are Door Dash & Zip Recruiter who we rely on now that we've fired all the gov't. experts that reported the real numbers?

Yes, but even now, my inexpensive Samsung s23 FE phone's camera reliably drains all color out of a sunset.

Overboosts light levels in anything darker than dusk, too, so night shots are just crappy.

A good digital camera from years ago does a much better job but is not nearly as convenient.

In the not so distant future, the US needs way more talented youth, not fewer.

The H-1B is a non-immigrant visa, so it is a fucking band-aid that favors the big tech employers. Imagine if instead we favored training our workers.

The H-1B does nothing to address our long-term need for new talent.

Even the median salary was only $118k in 2023 according to Homeland Security. They reliably don't report mean values or mode values. It's a definite choice, likely makes the wages

I'll argue alongside you we need as many skilled young people moving here as we can get! When baby boomers all die and Gen X retires, we'll simply have too few workers for a robust economy.

But the $167k figure is off by almost half. In 2023 it was $118k.

In 1998 they temporarily increased the cap from 65,000 to 115,000. By 1999, INS "accidentally" approved an extra 21,888 visas. Non-profits & university jobs aren't counted against the cap, so there are actually many LCAs approved for those employers that typically aren't even "counted" by the press.
November 12, 2025 at 6:01 PM
It's a totally unfair system! The H-1B visa rules don't allow a visa worker to find a different job. They are tied to 1 employer only.

If you are paid late, or not for all your hours & you complain? The boss simply reminds you with the stroke of a pen, you're on your way back to India. 😳 /3

Now you train your H-1B replacement.

Either he got 4 days training instead of you, is 23 y/o, and works for less than 1/4 what you make w/ experience.

Or she's kick-ass w/ a PhD, everyone wants her hired FT, but as a brown-skinned female, still (unfairly) will get paid less than 1/3 your $$$. 2/

No corporations have a training budget worth a damn. Used to be if you were with a company for years and had proved your skill in programming language "X", they'd send you to 4 days of hands-on training in Visual Object X++ Cloud Edition or whatever.

Not anymore. 1/
