My #art skills help my #writing process.
For commissions, you iterate on a concept over and over until it fits specifications or inspires. Only then do you refine it. And often, it's not the first thing you drew that ends up in the final render.

Everytime I make an outline for a story, I fall out of love with the story. It loses its mystery, its intrigue. -- Does this happen to anyone else? What do you do?

I read Witch Hat Atelier 2 years ago and I thought nothing of it and I WAS WRONG, OKAY?
I'm looking thru it now, and the magic system is "just" sigils -- and the genius of a creative mind is taking something that already exists and making it /better/.
And that is life and that is eternity.

Often, I stop myself from even trying by judging something before it actually exists.
