We’ve had the reverse here in Stratford. About 20cm two days ago, and about 5cm today with a melt between. We are always right on a streamer edge: blue sky one side, snow on the other. Either way, we get nailed. :)

Sasha preferred entertaining from the porch this evening! He was calling out to trick or treaters, hawking candy like a Turkish street vendor. He was doing comedy routines, giving away “100% candy”, and telling kids to shake the skeleton in the tree if they wanted more. He was amazing.

Not strange at all. This whole area was wooded hunting grounds for the First Nations people before the European settlers arrived. They were then moved onto reservations which became smaller and smaller. There are treaties that cover rights of the land for both the Crown and First Nations.

Ours is conservative but with a liberal streak as we have the Stratford Shakespearean Festival here. Our Avon was a small stream until the 1830s when it was dammed to create a mill pond. There’s significant flood control to maintain “Lake Victoria” for tourists.

If you need to insult people and tell people to scroll on, perhaps you’re not presenting your case in an appropriate manner. Maybe you’re not uplifting people. It’s possible that humility has escaped you.
