As someone who is very eye-rolly over bear stuff, I would feel weird if straight men started co-opting bear culture? I don't really know why though 🤔

I would think it's to avoid the association with the gay community? I also feel like straight people don't really feel the need to label/market themselves because there is a sense that the world is made for them. If you don't already have a sense of being 'othered' (like gay men / queer folks)...

I have mainly see women identify as liking bears but never seen a straight man identify as a bear.
