Second-hand bookshop and music venue in Kenilworth, Warwickshire run by Victoria Mier. Profits to the Kenilworth Centre, Help Musicians UK and Ellis Park Sumatra. Patron is glorious Bad Seed Warren Ellis. Posts by Victoria.
Really enjoying the audiobook of Martin Latham's The Bookseller's Tale, read by Roy McMillan. Lots of wonderful stuff in there. And I discovered he and I joined Waterstones in the same year, 1988 - he in High Street Ken, me in Charing X Road. I did a few weeks at HSK so our paths must have crossed.

RIP Robert Redford. And thank you, @variety.com, for this glorious photo, though I am not sure who took it.

Hit me up with your favourite contemporary/recent female poets. I have a list but keen to discover some I may not know! #BookSky

RIP Terence Stamp. I will always think of him as Sgt Troy in Far from the Madding Crowd.

Reading this by Suze Rotolo, Bob Dylan's girlfriend in the early 1960s and on the cover of his album Freewheelin'. A lovely evocation of Greenwich Village back then, as well as her relationship with Bob. I rarely read memoir/biography, but wanted to read her story.

Off to @warwickfolkfest.bsky.social tomorrow as a trader for the first time. Still very stressed, trying to get everything sorted and transported, but once I am there and set up will be fab. Can't wait - haven't been to a festival since the 1970s! 😂 If anyone is coming, make sure you say hello.

I saw that yesterday was Vladimir Ashkenazy's 88th birthday. I wanted to share his recording of Schubert's B-flat piano sonata, D960, but it's impossible to find. I have the CD but that also seems no longer to exist. It's sublime...the world needs it! A very happy birthday to him anyway.

I played a David Essex track on Apple Music just now, and it's choosing some fabulous nostalgia for me. Alvin Stardust and David Cassidy so far.
