@principlesfirst.bsky.social has the Event schedule on the website!!!

Big question for me is it really a @thebulwark.bsky.social Next Level Podcast without the @jvl.bsky.social ?

I am really excited for this event, and all of the panels look fantastic!

Worth noting, before Trump claims credit for "reducing the trade deficit", is that the reason the deficit exploded in early 2025 was the buying binge on imports before tariffs took effect. The decline we're seeing now is the hangover from that.
Trade deficit -$52.8 billion, the narrowest since June 2020

Yes, Fox makes people dumber, but I think many of you underestimate how many Trump supporters go to Fox because they already know he’s terrible and they don’t want to hear about it
For my own edification, I started watching Fox News. Their audience has no clue about any of Trump's failings. Any thing negative will not be reported, or if it is, it'll be cast as a false accusation made by evil Dems.

I know several Ivy League graduates who fell for the narrative. It's nuts.

"Donald Trump and David Ellison had entirely different interests—yet they were completely aligned. And now it’s happening again."

It's a good there is independent media to tell the story.

Trump and the Oligarchs Are Killing Corporate Media
The oligarchs only care about money. The dictator only cares about power. They can make that arrangement work.

Basically you should take the subsidy and invest it in the stock of your insurance provider.
You can extend for a year. In a year, hopefully we have some reform. If not, you can extend another year.

Extending 3 yrs now is going to triple the stock prices of big insurance carriers and hospital networks. They will LOVE IT. Prices will continue to skyrocket
And what happens if ACA credits aren’t extended, Mark? 🙄

The reason I want to see Secretary Hegseth and Admiral Bradley charged with murder, based on what we know, isn't because I hate the US military. It's because I served in the US military and respect it, and want to see its honor restored.

The ICC can do whatever it wants, but it's irrelevant as far as prosecuting Americans goes.
True. Yet that's unlikely to happen any time soon. And if the ICC acts, it doesn't preclude any eventual American prosecutions.

On the one hand, Hegseth keeps ordering murders. On the other hand, that’s what he was appointed to do.

Dear Fellow Americans:

Please stop thinking about the ICC.

Thank you for your attention to this matter.
I can't imagine campaigning on this, but if grave breaches become operational policy and other war crimes are routinely pardoned when/if prosecuted, joining the ICC seems much more reasonable than my previous belief that we'd hold our own accountable.

American public opinion is largely generated by foreigners who make money by lying to Americans over unregulated social media. Out of respect to those entrepreneurial foreigners, we will continue to treat their commodified fictions as one side of a reasoned American debate.
