Not at all! The box still had the UPC set up in a way that still allowed you to estimate the yen price, and the guy was charging almost double that for a kit I couldn't build myself.

Anecdotally there's a game store in the area that has had 2 Kamen Rider plamo kits built in their box for $100. I saw them earlier this year and 6 years ago...

Like these works could fuck you up and make you feel uncomfortable and that was okay. It also sent me down the road of David Cronenberg's works because of his film adaptation of Naked Lunch.
