Always be on the lookout for wildlife in the communities surrounding the park. Elk are prevalent here in Gardiner and can often be found navigating the local streets or grazing in and around the town. Give them space!

We ran into a big mountain goat yesterday morning on our hike to the summit of Bunsen Peak. They are not native to the park but have moved into YNP from the nearby Absaroka & Madison mountain ranges.
